Store policies for Dojo House Trading
Terms & Conditions
Version 2 Β· Last updated October 11, 20261. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") govern your use of the Dojo House Trading website and online store (the "Store") operated by Dojo House Trading ("we", "us", "our", or "Dojo House"). By browsing the Store, placing an order, or creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Business and Customer Responsibilities
Our responsibilities: We strive to provide accurate product descriptions, fair pricing, secure payment processing, and reliable order fulfillment. We are committed to complying with applicable Canadian and Ontario consumer protection laws.
Your responsibilities: You agree to provide accurate and complete information when placing an order, to use the Store for lawful purposes only, and to respect the intellectual property rights of Dojo House Trading and third parties.
3. Product Descriptions, Conditions and Availability
We make every effort to display product descriptions, images, and conditions accurately. Trading card conditions (e.g., Near Mint, Lightly Played) are assessed using industry-standard grading criteria and are subjective by nature. Slight variations in condition assessment may occur.
Product availability is subject to change. If an ordered item is no longer available, we will notify you and offer a full refund or a comparable alternative at your option.
4. Pricing in CAD and Applicable Taxes
All prices are displayed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise noted. Applicable taxes, including Ontario HST (13%), are calculated at checkout based on the applicable tax zone and added to your order total.
We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If an item was ordered at an incorrect price due to a typographical or system error, we will contact you before processing the order and offer the option to confirm at the correct price or receive a full refund.
5. Payment Processing
Online payments are processed securely through Stripe. We accept credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Cash at pickup is available for local pickup orders only.
Dojo House Trading does not store your full credit card information. Payment processing is handled by Stripe in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.
6. Order Confirmation and Cancellations
An order confirmation email is sent after your order is placed. This confirmation acknowledges that we have received your order but does not constitute acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including orders that appear fraudulent or that violate these Terms.
Customer cancellations: You may request to cancel an order before it has been shipped or prepared for pickup. Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled (see Shipping & Delivery for carrier-related matters).
[REQUIRES LEGAL REVIEW] β Confirm the cancellation window and process comply with the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002, particularly regarding distance agreements and cooling-off periods.
7. Shipping and Local Pickup
Shipping rates and estimated delivery times are calculated at checkout based on your destination. Local pickup is available for customers in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
For full details on shipping, lost or damaged packages, and delivery policies, please see our Shipping & Delivery section.
8. Returns, Exchanges and Refunds
Trading card singles and sealed trading card products are final sale. Accessories and merchandise may be eligible for returns within 14 days. For full details, please see our Refunds & Exchanges section and Final Sale Policy.
9. Customer Accounts and Acceptable Use
If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree not to:
- Use the Store for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or another user's account
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to extract data from the Store
- Post or transmit content that is defamatory, offensive, or infringes on others' rights
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
10. Privacy and Personal Information
We respect your privacy and handle your personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). For full details, please see our Privacy Policy.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dojo House Trading shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Store or any products purchased through it.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability or remedy that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including remedies available under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 and the Competition Act (Canada).
[REQUIRES LEGAL REVIEW] β The limitation of liability clause must be reviewed by Ontario legal counsel to ensure it does not exclude mandatory consumer remedies required by provincial or federal law.

Trading Card Final Sale
Version 2 Β· Last updated October 11, 2026Trading Card Final Sale Policy
All trading card singles and sealed trading card products are final sale. We do not accept discretionary returns, exchanges or refunds for these products due to market-price fluctuations, changes in collector value, buyer's remorse, or changes in purchasing preferences.
Products Covered by This Policy
This final-sale policy applies to all trading card products, including but not limited to:
- PokΓ©mon trading cards (singles and sealed products)
- Riftbound trading cards
- Magic: The Gathering cards (singles and sealed products)
- One Piece trading cards
- Gundam trading cards
- Lorcana trading cards
- Yu-Gi-Oh! trading cards
- Digimon trading cards
- Final Fantasy TCG cards
- Union Arena cards
- Any other trading card singles or sealed trading card products
Why This Policy Exists
Trading cards are collectible items whose market value fluctuates based on supply, demand, condition grading, and market conditions. Because of this volatility, discretionary returns of trading cards would expose the business to significant financial risk and are therefore not offered.
Statutory Rights Are Not Affected
Final-sale restrictions do not override mandatory consumer rights or remedies for misrepresented, incorrectly supplied, defective, or undelivered goods where applicable law requires them.
Specifically, this policy does not limit your right to a remedy where:
- The product you received is materially different from what was described or ordered
- The product was incorrectly supplied (wrong card, wrong quantity, or wrong product)
- The product is defective or damaged prior to shipment (not carrier damage)
- The product was never delivered
- Applicable consumer protection law provides a mandatory remedy that cannot be excluded by contract
In such cases, please contact us and we will work with you to provide an appropriate remedy as required by law.
Refunds & Exchanges
Version 2 Β· Last updated October 11, 2026Refunds & Exchanges
Trading Cards β Final Sale
Trading card singles and sealed trading card products are final sale and are not eligible for discretionary returns or exchanges. Please see our Final Sale Policy for full details.
Accessories & Merchandise β 14-Day Return Window
Eligible accessories and merchandise (such as playmats, keychains, plush items, apparel, and other non-trading-card products) may be returned or exchanged within 14 days of confirmed delivery or purchase.
Requirements for Discretionary Returns
To be eligible for a discretionary return or exchange, the following requirements must be met:
- Proof of purchase is required (order number, receipt, or order confirmation email)
- Original packaging where reasonably applicable must be included
- The item must be in unused and resaleable condition
- Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is paid by the customer
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method after the returned item has been inspected and approved
How to Request a Return
To initiate a return or exchange, please contact us through our Contact page with your order number and the reason for the return. We will provide instructions for returning the item.
Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.
Exchanges
If you wish to exchange an item for a different size, colour, or variant (where applicable), please contact us to arrange the exchange. The customer is responsible for any difference in price and for return shipping costs.
Statutory Rights for Defective or Misrepresented Goods
Statutory rights for defective or misrepresented goods remain unaffected by this policy. Nothing in this returns policy limits any remedy you may have under applicable consumer protection law for goods that are defective, not as described, or not of acceptable quality.
If you receive an accessory or merchandise item that is defective, damaged (not by the carrier), or significantly different from what was described, please contact us immediately and we will arrange a remedy as required by law.
Shipping & Delivery
Version 2 Β· Last updated October 11, 2026Shipping & Delivery
Shipping Rates and Zones
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your destination country and the applicable shipping zone. Free shipping may be available for orders that meet the minimum threshold displayed at checkout.
Local Pickup
Local pickup is available for customers in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). There is no shipping charge for local pickup orders. We will contact you to arrange a pickup location and time after your order is placed.
Estimated Delivery Times
Estimated delivery windows are provided at checkout and are estimates only. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs processing, or other factors outside our control.
Order Processing
Orders are typically processed within 1-3 business days after payment confirmation. You will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking information once your order has been dispatched.
Lost, Delayed or Damaged Packages
Once an order has been shipped, lost, delayed or carrier-damaged shipments must be reported to the shipping carrier for investigation and claims processing.
Dojo House Trading does not voluntarily provide refunds, exchanges, replacements or store credit for losses, delays or damage attributable to the shipping carrier.
Customers should contact the carrier using their tracking information to initiate an investigation or claim. Dojo House Trading may provide shipment documentation reasonably needed to support that process.
This policy does not limit any refund, cancellation, replacement or other remedy that Dojo House Trading is legally required to provide under applicable consumer protection laws.
Distinguishing Different Shipping Situations
The following situations are handled differently:
Packages lost in transit (no delivery confirmation): If the carrier's tracking shows the package was never delivered, contact the carrier to open an investigation. We will provide documentation to support the claim. If the carrier confirms the package was lost, the carrier's claims process will determine the resolution.
Packages confirmed delivered but not received: If the carrier's tracking shows the package was delivered but you did not receive it, first check with household members, neighbours, and safe-drop locations. Then contact the carrier to open an investigation. We will provide documentation to support the process.
Incorrect shipping address: If the shipping address provided at checkout was incorrect or incomplete, the customer is responsible for the resulting delivery failure. Additional shipping charges may apply to re-ship the order to the correct address.
Refused deliveries: If a delivery is refused by the recipient, the package will be returned to the sender. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs and may be subject to a restocking fee for discretionary-return items. Trading card final-sale restrictions still apply.
We Do Not Automatically Deny Legally Required Remedies
We do not automatically deny refund or cancellation requests where applicable law requires a remedy. Carrier tracking information and the final-sale policy are not used as the sole basis to deny a remedy that is legally required.
If you believe you are entitled to a remedy under applicable consumer protection law (for example, if goods were not delivered or were not as described), please contact us and we will review your situation.
